The #1 thing I regret…

As a woman in her 30s, the times in which I reminisce about all my shoulda, coulda’s are increasing.

I guess many would consider this to be the norm or maybe I’m on the right track for a mid-life pre-crisis?

Who knows… but what I do know is I’m not getting any younger and the clock hasn’t stopped ticking since, well, conception as

I believe life starts in the womb {even before the womb if you consider Jeremiah 1:5).

Jeremiah 1:5 ~ “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart

Psalm 139:13 ~You alone created my inner being. You knitted me together inside my mother.

So what one decision am I regretting? The decision where I didn’t do what I knew I should have done, the right “thing“.

The times I let fear, doubt make their comfy beds in my mind. The times I didn’t trust God…

These regrets grip me when I feel like I’m suffering the consequences of my actions or inaction’s.  These circumstances do not necessarily

involved other people; there are plenty of cases where I just gave up, and didn’t want to face the potential risk that I played out

in my mind.

A thought came today as I asked myself the one question I ask myself morning… “What will you do different today, Kate?”

I ask myself this question as a reminder of the new day, the new chance I have to do something extraordinary from my normal

daily routine.

The thought today was, “Are you doing what matters with your life where you can look back as an elderly aged woman with no regrets?”

We all have regrets, I know I’m not alone in this.

I asked the my heavenly father this: “Lord, please help me accomplish what you sent me here to do and to be for your glory. As I move

forward in age, give me wisdom and understanding; help me to redeem my time by your grace.”

The thoughts of regrets will always try weigh on my mind but I’ve received new hope today. What I couldn’t accomplish in 30 so years,

I will complete in just a few short years ahead because Time is commodity that only God can shift in a blink of an eye.
